WAR is ugly but sometimes is has its beauty, veterans often say. That is certainly true if you see this picture from the Vietnam War. Taken on November 20, 1968, you see infantrymen of the 5th Regiment, 1st Marine Division. They make their way through five-foot-high elephant grass, waving by hovering chopper. Even though the Vietnam War is famous for its freedom of the press, the person behind the camera was not a photojournalist. Army photographer Corporal S. L. McKenzie II pushed the button.
