PTT Yearbook

IT’S always nice to see something old look fresh. Like this yearbook from 1989 from the Dutch telecom and postal service PTT. In those days PTT took great pride in corporate design. They even had an in-house design department called Dienst Esthetische Vormgeving (later called Kunst & Vormgeving) that overlooked every form of corporate communication, from stamps till telephone booths. In 2002 the in-house design department was dissolved. With that came an end to a national design institute that shaped the look of the Netherlands for years.

This cover is designed by Haico Beukers + PTT Kunst en Vormgeving. More: PTT Jaarboek 1989.
