Black Book

MY believe is that this book once belonged to a library in which all books had these kind of covers. It was the owner’s habit to put new black bindings on his paperbacks, unifying his ever-growing collection. After the binding he would spin the wheel of his label maker to create the label with the title and author of the book. Then he put it on the bookshelf, proudly looking at all spines of his altered books. I found this book at a secondhand shop somewhere in Amsterdam.
