Robert Longo’s Men In Cities

THE tortured figures of artist Robert Longo deserve a little buzz. The wall-sized charcoal drawings date from 1979 and it portrays ‘the traumatic battle to survive as an individual in the angst-ridden citadels of corporate culture in the 1980s’. Nowadays, in these eclectic times, not only anonymous salary men wear suits. Therefore Robert Longo’s series ‘Men in the Cities’ could now also be an anatomy of some wild dance.  Check out more work from ‘Men in the Cities’. While you’re at it, look at his jet helmets and black waves.
